This painting was created during a time of political turbulence when I was reminded of an earlier life experience.
Years ago I accepted a public school teaching job. Instead of art, I was asked to teach middle school Intensive Reading. If you have ever worked with this age group, you know you can reach places inside yourself where you can either love or hate them. I consistently “chose” love and went on to become a much loved teacher.
Our Revolutionary Choices reflects “choosing” love over hate. The flowers represent all the delightful and colorful young people I met.
